3 Reasons Why I Love Using An Indoor Exercise Bike

I am quite a keen cyclist myself and love to go for long bike rides in the surrounding countryside because nothing beats the feeling of fresh air in your lungs, and it's great to get out there and explore new places whilst getting fit at the same time.

However I also love riding my exercise bike as well. Indeed I tend to use my exercise bike a lot more because I will always do a workout at least 2-3 times a week, whereas my road bike may stay in the garage for months at a time without being used.

The benefits of exercise bike workouts are fairly well-known, so in this article I thought I would discuss some of the main reasons why I love working out on an exercise bike at home:

1. Comfortable and Convenient

One of the best things about owning your own exercise bike is that you don't have to drag yourself down to the gym whenever you fancy a workout. You can simply jump on your bike and get going, and don't have to worry about what you are wearing, for example.

You can also do whatever you want during your workout to keep you entertained, whether you prefer reading, listening to music or watching your favorite television shows, for example.

Plus you obviously don't have to worry about the weather, like you do when preparing to go for a bike ride, and you can stay fit throughout the winter when it's cold and snowing outside.

2. Variation of Workouts

Another thing I love about an exercise bike is that it is really easy to make your workout as easy or as hard as you want it to be.

This isn't always the case on a road bike because you might live in a particularly flat area, for example, but on an indoor cycle you can crank up the resistance if you want to really stretch yourself and recreate the feeling of cycling up steep hills, or you can set it to one of the lowest resistance levels if you just want to get a gentle workout that is relatively easy to do.

3. Cost Savings

One final benefit of owning your own exercise bicycle is that in the long run it can work out a lot cheaper than a gym membership. Yes you have the initial cost of buying the bike, but after a year or two it will have worked out a lot cheaper when you add up all the gym membership fees that you would have paid during this time.

I myself have my own home gym set up at home where I have weights, weights benches and lots of other exercise equipment, and after a few years you will find that the amount of money that you will have saved will be quite significant.

New Indoor Exercise Bike From Keiser Is Now Available

In my last blog post I discussed some of the key differences between spinning and stationary bikes, and talked about some of the main features of each one.

Well if you have read this article and have since decided that you want to buy a spinning bike that you can use at home, you may be interested to know that Keiser have a new spinning bike for 2015 that is getting a lot of positive reviews.

For example, this bike is discussed here and on one or two other review sites, and it is supposed to be equally as good as some of the previous Keiser bikes, such as the Keiser M3 Plus, for instance.

In fact you could argue that this one is even better because it makes full use of the latest technology to provide you with bluetooth and wireless facilities that you can use to connect to your phone or tablet.

Unfortunately as this is one of the top rated spinning bikes on the market, it costs nearly $2000, which is a lot of money for an exercise machine, and will immediately put it out of reach for many people.

However it is worth the money if you can afford to pay this much become it comes with 24 resistance levels to provide you with a wide variety of different challenges, and gives you a smooth, quiet and comfortable workout because the handlebars and seat can be adjusted until you find the best position.

It is also ideal if you are going to blast out a workout every day, for example, because this is a very strong bike that is built to last many years. That's why these Keiser bicycles are often used in spinning classes and in gyms.

Finally it is also worth mentioning that there is a very good display monitor included with this machine that will help you track your performance because it will tell you how fast you are going, whilst also displaying distance, pulse rate and RPM.

There are cheaper bikes available that will have similar levels of resistance, and will be equally as enjoyable to ride, but many people who have used this bike agree that this one is a class above.

If you would like to buy this new spinning bicycle from Keiser, this new one is the M3I model, and although I haven't seen it in any shops, you should be able to buy it from one or two stockists in your local area if you ask around. If not, there are definitely some websites that sell this Keiser M3I model online.
